This is an exciting opportunity of an experienced Geoenvironmental Engineer to get their hands on an exciting role based in Central London.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team working on a varied project portfolio providing expertise to the environmental, energy, oil and gas, and infrastructure markets. Key responsibilities

The role on offer is for a highly motivated and experienced Geo-Environmental / Geotechnical Consultant to join this growing Contaminated Land and Remediation Practice in their London office. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project delivery for property sector and corporate clients. The role will have the opportunity to manage projects, perform technical tasks and will be client facing. Typical projects include non-intrusive and intrusive environmental assessments to aid the management of client liabilities or to support planning applications.

The role is based in London, which is a vibrant, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment that provides access to a broad spectrum of professional experiences in an office that thrives on teamwork.

Job requirements

Ideally you will come from a similar role from either a consultancy or contractor being about to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise. The role will require:

 

  • Manage projects, through all phases.
  • Undertake site walkovers and desk based environmental assessments.
  • Perform geo-environmental and geotechnical site investigations
  • Provide oversight and verification of remediation programmes;
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills;
  • Work independently or in a project team with excellent problem solving, writing, and presenting skills;

Technically you will come with a Bachelor’s degree in an environmental science or engineering discipline. This should be coupled with a minimum of 2 years of environmental consulting experience in site investigation (environmental and geotechnical), contaminated land assessment and remediation.  Due to the mix of site and office work a valid driving licence is essential
