This client is one of the largest and most respected contaminated land and remediation specialists in the UK. The role is for an engineer with 2+ years practical experience who is looking to further their development, experience a new and exciting opportunity and work on some of the industry’s most challenging projects

Key responsibilities

The role is for an experienced degree qualified Environmental Engineer, ideally from a contaminated land remediation background, to be based from their Bristol office, giving coverage to project around the south West of England. The role will involve exposure to a wide variety of remediation technologies, and involve working on a diverse range of contaminated land projects. Projects range in value from tens of thousands to multi million pounds and range across major earthworks, civil engineering and development projects.

Job requirements

Ideally you will have experience of:

  • Interpretation of historical site investigation data
  • A good understanding of specific remediation technologies including bioremediation, in-situ process based systems, soil classification, water treatment and soil stabilisation
  • environmental monitoring
  • Site investigation (trial pitting, logging, drilling, etc)
  • Collation of verification data including the use of GIS and good site based experience
  • Knowledge in geotechnical classification and verification would be a distinct advantage.
